Hiking is a great way to improve your physical and mental health! Join the park naturalist for a quickly paced 2 mile hike along the trails of WCHP. Please keep in mind that these hikes are intended to maintain a quick hiking pace. Prepare yourself for the day by bringing a full water bottle, wearing sturdy shoes, and dressing for the weather! Fly Tying Basics (4 part program)

Catching a fish on a hand tied fly that you made can be an extremely rewarding experience! Join the Park Naturalist for basic fly tying instruction and some watershed education, every Wednesday evening in February from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. In partnership with the Friends of Washington Crossing Park the next meeting of the Washington Crossing Historic Park Book Club is set for Wednesday, February 19 at 5:30 PM. This meeting will be held virtually using Zoom. Museum Curator Kimberly McCarty will lead a discussion of the book club’s next selection: The Great New York Fire of 1776: A Lost Story of the American Revolution by Benjamin L. Carp. Maple Harvest Day

Join us for a fun day of dendrology education, pancakes, and warm maple syrup!  On Saturday, February 22nd, plan to spend some time in the Washington Crossing Historic Park “sugar bush” as you learn the process and history of maple syrup production!  This family friendly event will be held at the General Greene Pavilion with pancakes being served from 11:00am – 2:00pm, and hand on stations that demonstrate the craft of maple sugaring.  This is a FREE EVENT, but registration is required to attend.  To register please follow the link HERE.
