Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA) will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a Centennial Award Ceremony after the first Crossing reenactment on Sunday, December 10.

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and heavy hors d’oeuvres in the Visitor Center’s Riverview Room, followed by the award presentations honoring several individuals who have played integral roles in the operation and development of the park:

• Charles and Kate Tweedy will receive the Ann Hawkes Hutton Park Champion Award for their years of service and support of the park and their continued promotion of the ideals of George Washington. Charles is a board member of the Friends of Washington Crossing Park and both he and Kate are members of the Washington Crossing Foundation.
• Peter Osborne will receive the Ann Hawkes Hutton Park Ambassador Award. He is the author of No Spot in this Far Land, the definitive written history of Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA).
• William Farkus will also receive the Ann Hawkes Hutton Park Ambassador Award. He is the owner of Yardley Press and publisher of No Spot in this Far Land and a second book on New Jersey’s Washington Crossing Park.
• Colonel Larry Rubini will receive the Patriot Award for his service as the chair of the Friends of Washington Crossing Park Reenactors Operations Committee, which organizes the park’s annual crossing reenactments and Memorial Day ceremony. He has also helped the Friends group engage active and retired military veterans and promotes the park as a destination for military units.

Tickets are $100 per person and may be purchased by calling the park at 215-493-4076. Included in the ticket price is a complimentary VIP Patriot Pass for the first Crossing reenactment on Sunday, December 10 (not Christmas Day).
