Repairs to the Bowman’s Hill Tower elevator will begin August 1. Starting that day, the tower will be open to the public only on Fridays from 4 PM to 8 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 8 PM. Outside those periods, the tower will be closed to the public.
On a clear day, the tower offers a 14-mile view of the surrounding countryside. If you haven’t visited the tower recently, take this rare opportunity to enjoy a summertime sunset from 125 feet in the air!
Work on the elevator is expected to take a few weeks. Until elevator repairs are completed, visitors will need to climb the staircase.
